Postdoctoral Researcher in Accessible XR

About the Position

Cornell Tech in New York City is hiring a postdoctoral researcher to lead research in augmented and virtual reality accessibility for people with disabilities. In addition, the postdoc will help lead the XR Access Initiative, a multi-stakeholder research consortium in the field. The postdoc will work closely with Prof. Shiri Azenkot and other members of the Enhancing Ability Lab, and with the leadership of the XR Access Initiative.

Strong candidates will have: 

  • A PhD in computer science, information science, HCI or related areas.
  • Research experience in accessibility or augmented/virtual reality.
  • Experience in or enthusiasm for helping to manage and lead academic-industry-advocate partnerships

Start date: Flexible, but no later than July 1, 2023

Location: In person at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City

Duration: 1 year appointment, renewable based on mutual interest and available funds
